I cleared the cache files, took out all cc/mods but the hair, turned off scripts, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the entire Sims4 game with a new save. Strangely, the hair was still bugged in-game. Thinking I'd somehow messed something up, I took out my edited package file and re-downloaded an original untouched copy of the Janice hair. (Pictures at bottom, sorry I don't know how to make them smaller without reuploading to imgur) The glitch makes the hair color dark with a few scribbles through which the normal color can be seen. Although it looked all right in the Studio, in game a glitch appeared on all colors including the new one. I wanted to add one whiter recolor to NewSea's free Janice alpha hair YU183f (for personal use), so I followed the tutorial /thread/386/add-swatch-existing-hair-beginners with Photoshop CS6.

I've read forum rules/FAQ, and tried searching for help without luck. Sims 4 game is up-to-date, Sims quality is set to very high, laptop mode is off.
